Love, love, LOVE this cute quaint tea room. It's a hidden treasure in the Baytown/Highlands area. Their chicken salad is delicious (I get chicken salad everywhere I can and theirs is my favorite) as well as their pimento cheese, chicken pot pies (Oder in advance because they go quickly!), and meatloaf (one of their specials). It is a little pricey but it's definitely worth it. They also have a cute little gift shop that is fun to look in. If you're in the area you definitely should try this place out!
I love this place!! The food is delicious (I have never tried anything I didn't like), and the service is excellent! I always feel welcome when I visit! It is quiet enough for people to have a conversation, but they also offer bigger tables for larger groups!! It is definitely worth the trip to Highlands!! I have been going there for many years and it is very consistent!! Yum!!
his place is adorable! It's a quaint little tea room in an old house. I came here with coworkers and they were the only guys in the room - otherwise it was mostly cute little grandmas. They give you free bread on the table but instead of your standard rolls and butter it's small slices of delicious quickbreads. My favorite was a cherry one - there was also a lemon walnut and a poppyseed that were quite good. Dessert for an appetizer - fine by me...
Stopped by for some lunch with my coworkers when visiting Houston. They all had been several times and were ranting and raving about the food. My one coworker called ahead and got the flower pot pie reserved- good thing as they sell out! She loved it and I thought it was pretty good when having a taste of hers. I chose the conductors plate with chicken salad- wish it had come on bread, broccoli cheese soup (A-MAZING), Fritos and a cream cheese muffin that was large enough to share between 4. The other 2 ladies got the porter which they loved as well...
I never feel compelled to write reviews. But a couple of weeks ago I ordered the Buffalo chicken pot pie and it was a huge hit with my family. It was so delicious I ordered two more a couple of days later. They didn’t have it on the menu but the owner was so nice enough to make it for us. I even ordered a side of homemade croutons (they’re delicious, could be more garlicky. I liked them, but my fam wasn’t so thrilled with them but that just meant more for me...
